The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is a globally recognized program that empowers young individuals to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and foster a sense of adventure. It offers three levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

At Arcadia School, we believe in providing our students with holistic education, and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award perfectly aligns with our mission. Through this program, our students have the opportunity to challenge themselves, step out of their comfort zones, and engage in a variety of activities that promote personal growth and development.

The Bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award focuses on four key areas: volunteering, physical fitness, skills development, and an adventurous journey. Our students have been actively involved in various community service projects, honing their physical abilities through sports and fitness activities, and developing new skills in areas such as cooking, photography, cookery and music.

We are now in our third year of the award and are delighted to see some of our students progressing through from Bronze level to the Silver award this year. This demonstrates their commitment, dedication, and perseverance in completing the program's requirements and furthering their personal development.

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is an incredible opportunity for our students to enhance their self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. It also provides them with a platform to showcase their achievements and stand out in college and job applications.
