Dubai’s First 100% Teacher-Focused School Gets Ready To Open Its Doors

The Arcadia School is committed to maximising its teachers’ career satisfaction with generous packages including competitive salaries, 7-star housing, state-of-the-art facilities, health cover and more

Dubai, UAE Attracting the highest quality teaching professionals to a school is tantamount to ensuring its students enjoy the highest standards of education. Soon-to-open The Arcadia School is set to revolutionise the UAE’s education scene with its 100% teacher-focused approach incorporating far-reaching benefits which have been purposefully designed to make teachers feel valued and respected within their roles.

Located in Jumeriah Village Triangle district, the British curriculum primary school is taking a holistic approach to staff’s wellbeing by offering them high-quality accommodation in The Arcadia House, within easy reach of the school community. The state-of-the art property is set amidst inviting surroundings and incorporates a swimming pool, a children’s play area for teachers’ families, a spacious lounge, library and fully-equipped fitness area.

Teacher salaries meanwhile are set to be amongst the highest in the emirate of Dubai with generous remuneration packages including comprehensive health insurance. Teachers will also benefit from ongoing access to the latest training courses provided by leading educational training institutions to advance their educational knowledge and keep their skill base up to date.

“The vision of the Arcadia team was to create a school in which teachers are treated with the same value and respect that they are expected to instill in their own students,” says Mohan Valrani, Founder and Chairman of the School. .

“In planning The Arcadia School we looked carefully at the Emirates’ education landscape and saw that teachers are not always well looked after by their employers. By strategically partnering with Gabbitas, the highly-respected global consultancy experts in British education, we ensure we are creating the optimum teacher-focused environment – in addition to the best educational opportunities for each and every one of our students.”

Valrani continues: “ The impressive end result is an environment that nurtures not only our students but our teaching staff as well – after all, a school’s biggest asset is its workforce. Happy teachers work harder and impart greater knowledge to their students. This is the Arcadia way: Happy teachers, happy students and a happy school.”

The Arcadia School is scheduled to open in August 2016 in Dubai’s Jumeriah Village Triangle and will offer the National Curriculum for England to students studying from Foundation Stage One to Key Stage Two.

About The Arcadia School

The Arcadia School, located in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Triangle, offers the National Curriculum for England to students studying from Foundation Stage 1 (nursery) to Key Stage 2 (year 6). Due to open in August 2016, the community-focused school aspires to be one of the leading British primary schools in the world by instilling into students a lifelong passion for learning, and by nurturing innovation and the pursuit of excellence amongst the teaching staff.

The Arcadia School is the first in a series of community-based schools delivering the vision of Mohan Valrani and the Al Shirawi Group. As the Chairman of the school, Valrani is an avid believer in providing the very best education for future generations.

Believing that a school’s greatest asset is its teachers, the group is building The Arcadia House, a dedicated accommodation facility within JVT for school staff. By offering the enhanced benefit of quality housing, the school is investing fully in its teachers’ happiness and wellbeing thereby encouraging them to aspire to excellence within the classroom.

The Arcadia School’s curriculum includes a unique Enrichment Learning Programme (ELP) – an all-inclusive programme, based on an extended school day – that complements the core curriculum, providing dynamic and diverse activities and rich learning opportunities for students, including in-class homework support. The ELP is provided at no extra cost to parents and is a core aspect of the school’s values and ethos, where lifelong learning is nurtured. In addition, the school is offering specialist support for English as an Additional Language (EAL) as part of the core curriculum for those students whose native language is not English.

Future Dubai-based schools for Arcadia Group include The Arcadia Senior School, also in Jumeirah Village Triangle; and The Arcadia Primary and Secondary School in Jebel Ali.
