This video is an example of an activity we would complete in the classroom to get children talking about changes and why they happen. We would also use this to explore textures. Children would have the opportunity to explore this themselves once a teacher has modeled it.
This is 30-minute writing class with a focus on SPaG. (The first few minutes are about the star of the day.) Then, children were tasked with correcting sentences that contained spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes. The sentences were on screen and they were writing in their workbooks, giving each other clues about which mistakes to correct. At the very end there is a house point update.
This lesson was a mental maths session with Year 2 children. The children cover a range of Year 2 objectives ranging from place value, to number and shape. It ensures that we are continuing to reinforce previously learnt topics while we teach new concepts in our pre recorded sessions. Children's learning and progress can be instantly assessed and plans can be made to help them to progress further.
My videos is a usual zoom session, we first do a mental maths started, where children hold up an answer, after this we go through some of the Ramadan homework given, it is a chance to address any misconceptions from this. We then 'get comfy' for the last 10 minutes of every zoom session, children listen to me read to them. During this children add any questions they have to the chat box for us to discuss.
