Arcadia eagerly awaits opening day

An expanded campus with a new leadership team prioritising on safety and sustainability while students learn

Arcadia eagerly awaits opening day

Dubai, 4 August 2020 - As 30th August approaches, Arcadia is taking on a new look in many ways. A new leadership team, headed by its energetic Executive Principal, Giles Pruett, is busy planning for social distancing signage, fixing acrylic safety guards on the reception desks, installing thermal imaging cameras at all entry points, ensuring a contactless experience for visitors and even rolling out a bespoke contact tracing solution for staff, as the school operator focuses on the health and safety of its students and staff as its number one priority. These investments come up on top of the announcements made by the school for the mandatory testing of all staff, the provision of accommodation for all auxiliary personnel, installing virus-elimination ultraviolet technology in the air conditioning systems and the recruitment of a health and safety team to ensure government protocols are firmly in place.

As the school opens its secondary campus, the place has already begun to have a Google-headquarters feel to it, with electric scooters for staff to move between the buildings, a rock-climbing wall in the entrance lobby area and swimming pool and basketball courts on the roof.

Giles Pruett commented, "The Arcadia Family is really excited about the prospect of welcoming all of our students back to school, despite the challenges that lay ahead as we navigate our way through a complex reopening plan. The secondary campus will continue to build upon the success of its very own primary sibling, ensuring the student experience is the very best for every child. We are extremely fortunate to be opening the secondary campus at this time as it has given some flexibility in utilising additional spaces to accommodate smaller teaching groups. Our priority remains ensuring that children are safe and healthy, whilst providing as normal a routine as possible."
