Apple Distinguished School Ceremony

Apple Distinguished School Ceremony

Dubai, 17th November 2021 - Arcadia School of Dubai, UAE is pleased to announce that we have been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2021-2024 for our continued commitment to improving teaching and learning. We continue to have an innovative approach to education that uses Apple technology effectively to promote our key learning skills: creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. Along with this approach, we have a real focus on entrepreneurship with our Junior MBA and Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership programs. Our one to one iPad program allows for an inclusive approach, where students have the tools to make themselves more independent with their learning.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence. We use Apple technology to connect students to the world, fuel creativity, deepen collaboration, and make learning personal. Thomas Gayler, Head of Digital Innovation, has said, "The recognition as an Apple Distinguished School for a second time is a great achievement by the school's teachers, students and parents. Technology and an innovative approach to teaching and learning is something that the whole school community aims for. We are extremely proud that Arcadia has been recognised as a centre for excellence for our approach. As our school continues to grow, we want to constantly look at how we can push the boundaries of education, using Apple technology to help us achieve this aim."

The selection of Arcadia School as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success in creating an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students. We have seen this in our online learning program, which was extremely successful during the height of the pandemic and rated outstanding. Our action research in school continues to see huge improvements to academic success as well as helping with the wellbeing of our whole school community.
